2026 general election endorsements

The Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS^® (GCAAR)’s Political and Campaign Affairs Committee (PCAC) has made endorsements for the 2026 District of Columbia and Montgomery County General Election. Below, you’ll find the lists of endorsed candidates.

2026 District of Columbia General Election endorsements

GCAAR's Political and Campaign Affairs Committee (PCAC) has endorsed four candidates who are running to serve on the Council of the District of Columbia in the November 3 general election. Ranked-choice voting will again be used in the general election, as it was in the primary, where voters can choose to rank candidates in order of preference.

2026 Montgomery County General Election endorsements

GCAAR’s Political and Campaign Affairs Committee (PCAC) has endorsed 10 candidates who are running to serve on the Montgomery County Council and as County Executive in the November 3 general election. Additionally, for the first time, the association has made endorsements in the Board of Education races.

During the last two months, the PCAC reviewed candidate questionnaires and interviewed four Board of Education candidates and five Republican candidates for the council and county executive positions, to go along with the 25 candidate interviews conducted before the primary election in June. The questionnaires and interviews helped the PCAC weigh the candidates’ policy platforms to determine their alignment with GCAAR’s positions and advocacy goals in support of the real-estate industry.
