Q: I've registered for REALTOR® Fest. What if I need help with the virtual format?

Q. When is REALTOR® Fest 2020?

A. July 20-24.


Q. Where is REALTOR® Fest being held this year?

A. Due to the concerns and restrictions around COVID-19, we have moved REALTOR® Fest to an online format.


Q. What is different about REALTOR® Fest in 2020?

A. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, REALTOR® Fest 2020 was moved to a virtual platform. All classes, panels and events will be held via Zoom. Additionally, instead of a single-day event, we have stretched the event out to a full week, beginning on Monday, July 20 and concluding on Friday, July 24. We are also offering other perks this year, including our daily Food for Thought lunchtime panels and special events throughout the week. All classes and events are included in the cost of registration.



Q. Is registration still open?

A. Yes! Registration is open for GCAAR members and non-members through Friday, July 24. For more registration questions, see the Registration tab below.


Q. Do the lunch sessions and events cost extra?

A. NO! REALTOR® Fest registration includes all the classes and events that are being offered. More information here on class and event offerings.

Q. Can non-members attend?

A. Yes, see below for non-member pricing. Additionally, non-members can join GCAAR and receive member pricing. Visit our membership page for more information.


Q. How much does it cost to register for the entire week-long event?

A. Early bird registration ended on June 30. The price for GCAAR members is now $50. The price for non-members is $95. This is for the entire week!


Q. Do secondary members get the $50 price?

A. Of course! GCAAR members include our primary, secondary, affiliate and emeritus members.


Q. Do the lunch sessions and other events cost extra?

A. No! Once you register for REALTOR® Fest, you can register for any lunch sessions and other events at no additional cost.

Q. What classes are available to register for?

A. See the available classes here.


Q. Do I have to pay for classes?

A. All class costs are included in the price of registration. Once you have registered for REALTOR® Fest, there are no additional costs. When registering for classes, you must add the required REALTOR® Fest item into your cart. If that is not the first item in your cart, you will not be able to register for the individual classes.


Q. How will classes be offered?

A. All classes and events will be offered virtually via Zoom. If you’re new to Zoom, be sure to register for one of our Zoom intro sessions, available through your REALTOR® Fest registration. You can take a look at the Zoom sessions and other classes on this website, or log in to register.


Q: When will I receive the Zoom links to get into my classes?

A: You will receive the link to the classes you’ve signed up for and any handouts the evening before each class begins. The waiting room for each class will open 15 minutes before the start of the class. You are welcome to join any time between then and the start of the class. We encourage you to arrive several minutes early to give yourself time to resolve any technical difficulties.

Q. How will I get credit for the CE classes I sign up for?

A. In order to get any credit for attending your REALTOR® Fest classes, you must have a functioning webcam and be visible AT ALL TIMES during each class.


Q. When will my credits be reported to the state real estate jurisdictions?

A. REALTOR® Fest attendees have signed up for more than 4,000 classes, and we will be working as quickly as possible to report those credits – it’s an all-hands-on deck project! Please give us 14 days following your class to get the credits reported (but we’re hoping it’s much faster!). You may verify your credits by logging on to the website for each state where you hold a license:


Q. Why aren’t my credits on the GCAAR website?

A. Our website tracks only your attendance at classes, not your credits. The website for the state where you hold your license is where you can find your credits. Please check at the above links.


Q. What classes do I still need to take to renew my license?

A. GCAAR lists the licensing requirements for Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia on our website.


Q. What happened to the MREC Agency - Residential class?

A. The name of MREC Agency - Residential has been changed to MREC Brokerage Relationships. More information here.


Q. Can I cancel my registration?

A. You can cancel your registration for specific classes and events within REALTOR® Fest on our website. Go to your account and click "Classes you are registered for" found in "My Education History," then select "Registration Cancellation" under the class or event you wish to cancel. Refunds for the REALTOR® Fest event were available until June 30, 2020.
