As REALTORS®, GCAAR members subscribe to a strict code of ethics and hold respect for property as one of our most valued tenets. With this in mind, the GCAAR Board of Directors has adopted a new policy to allow for the efficient and streamlined enforcement of our SentriLock Rules & Regulations, which guide members’ operation of and interaction with each other around lockboxes.  

The SentriLock Citation Policy and Schedule makes it easier for our REALTOR® community and members of the general public to file complaints and to hold each other collectively accountable for protecting the rights of homeowners and the industry as a whole. 

Through the new policy, if GCAAR receives a complaint related to a violation of the National Association of REALTORS®’ Code of Ethics or the SentriLock Rules & Regulations, it is then sent through GCAAR’s Grievance Committee. The committee then reviews the complaint and decides if a violation occurred and whether the conduct is subject to citation.
