Samantha originally hails from the other Washington, Washington state. After moving to the east coast in 2000, she migrated to the DC/Baltimore area in 2002 to earn her Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. In 2005, she relocated to DC complete her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
Samantha made her transition to real estate in 2013, looking for a new career path that utilized her transferrable skills, her love of DC, and connected her with her local community. Becoming a part of the DC area real estate community, and specifically joining and working with GCAAR, has helped her flourish.
Samantha has been actively engaged with the REALTORS® Care (formerly GCAAR Cares) Committee since 2014. Samantha was Vice Chair of GCAAR Cares in 2017 and Chair in 2018; the year GCAAR celebrated 20 years. To commemorate 20 years, the fundraising goal was set at $20,000 in grant funds. As Chair, she helped the committee meet and surpass that goal, enabling it to award more and larger grants to organizations that tackle homelessness head on.
Samantha was the Rookie of the Year in 2017, the same year she had her first child. She has steadily built a successful business from scratch and actively mentors new agents. Her business foundations rely heavily on knowledge, education, integrity, client well-being, community, and positive relationships with other agents – all attributes she will bring to the Board of Directors.
