Marcus’ real estate career began in 1999, when, after nine years of practicing law in the Boston area, he began working as a settlement attorney with RGS Title in Bethesda. In 2006, a fabulous offer from the leadership team of the newly-formed Keller Williams Capital Properties, took Marcus away from the law and into the business of brokerage management. His experience includes: Team Leader, Keller Williams Capital Properties; Managing Director, Lindsay Reishman Real Estate; Managing Director, TTR Sotheby’s International Realty (leading the launch of the Alexandria office); SVP, Regional Director for Washington, DC with Long & Foster; Managing Director (Regional), Century 21 Commonwealth (Boston); Coached with Tom Ferry Coaching; and, since 2017, positions centered on growth and development with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. (VP Strategic Growth and Development.) As of September 2019, Marcus will be leading the launch of the company’s newest office in Bethesda.
Marcus’ work with GCAAR and DCAR began in 2008-2009 when he joined the GCAAR Rookie Society. This was a committee focused on helping new agents succeed in real estate. In 2010, DCAR’s new state president, Brenda Small, asked Marcus to serve on the DCAR Board of Directors. Marcus served two terms on the Board of Directors, including two years with the Executive Committee as Secretary. In addition, Marcus served on GCAAR’s Green Committee and DCAR’s Communications Committee. He is currently the Vice Chairman of DCAR’s Public Policy Committee.
