The REALTOR® Party works for you

Are you a Democrat? Republican? Independent? We’ve got you covered! We are the REALTOR® Party, which means we advocate for REALTORS® and the real estate issues that benefit you. The REALTOR® Party is non-partisan in its selection of candidates, focusing on the people and policies that are best for your business regardless of party affiliation.

What is RPAC?

The REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) is your opportunity to invest in the future of your business.

On local, state, and federal levels, RPAC funds support:

  • The election of REALTOR®-friendly candidates
  • Grassroots campaigns that advocate for laws and regulations that affect your business

We are one of the strongest advocacy organizations in the nation for one reason: we have the best members. In politics there are players and bench warmers. Investing in RPAC makes us players.

In 2023, with your support, RPAC was able to protect your business and the American dream of homeownership. Victories over the past year include:

Launched first-ever GCAAR Advocacy Survey to gauge membership priorities and guide Public Policy Committee efforts in 2024 and beyond

Montgomery County:

  • Proposed 10% property tax rate passed at 4.7%, due in part to the significant role of GCAAR’s advocacy & member engagement. We reached 60,000+ local residents through a comprehensive community outreach campaign and we knocked on 6,200 doors through on the-ground field campaign
  • Reviewed 150+ bills during state session with MD REALTORS® Legislative  Committee

With D.C. Association of REALTORS®:

  • Testified at committee hearings and sent letters regarding DCAR’s position  on legislation
  • Launched Call for Action on restoring funding to DHCD HPAP and Heirs  Property Assistance Program. Over 1,600 messages sent from members to D.C. Councilmembers
  • Used NAR’s Smart Growth grant program to hold an Accessory  Dwelling Unit (ADU) Workshop with government officials and industry  experts
  • Received NAR issues mobilization grant to conduct a district-wide study  of rent control and the impact on small housing providers

An investment in your REALTOR® Party (RPAC) fights and protects the interests of you, your clients, and your business!
