What is GRI?
The GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) Designation is a National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) nationally recognized designation which is administered through state associations.
The Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation.
Who is it for?
GRI is for you! Earning the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation is a way to stand out to prospective home buyers and sellers as a REALTOR® who has gained in-depth market knowledge, increased expertise in a broad array of subjects to enhance professionalism and business success.
What You Gain
Higher earnings: the national median income of GRI designees in 2012 was $61,000, compared to the median income of non-designees of $33,500. Be better able to serve and protect your increasingly sophisticated clients through an understanding of new technology, laws, and procedures.
DC GRI program is a total of 90 hours of education, divided into 3 modules of 30 hours each. You have up to 5 years to complete the GRI program. Designees also have the option of completing the Post-Graduate Module 400 of the GRI program for those who’re interested in obtaining the DC Broker’s license.
Only licensed in
No problem! GRI is a nationally recognized designation so a Maryland licensee who completes the DC GRI program will still earn the designation.
