DC Property Management CE Course: Everything You Need to Know!
All DC Broker and Salesperson licensees must take this course. It's packed with essential knowledge and practical insights, including: Property managers oversee the daily operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring maintenance, rent collection, and tenant relations. Licensure is required to meet professional standards. They must understand the rights and responsibilities of both landlords and tenants, and manage common interest communities, including enforcing rules and maintaining shared spaces. Record-keeping is essential for legal compliance, while non-residential property management involves leasing, zoning, and specialized maintenance. Technology impacts property management by streamlining processes but also raises safety concerns like cybersecurity. In DC, property managers must stay updated on sustainability initiatives and navigate historic preservation laws for properties in culturally significant areas.
For MD & VA Licensees: If you’re working toward earning your DC license, this course is one of two required before you can sit for the DC law exam. Be sure to check out our calendar for the second course, 3-hour DC Fair Housing, to complete your requirements.
