About GCAAR

History

GCAAR was founded in 1998 with the combination of two REALTOR^® associations, the Montgomery County Association of REALTORS^® (MCAR) and the local services of the Washington, DC Association of REALTORS^® (WDCAR). The rich tradition of real estate in the Washington area, along with the role GCAAR played in it, is detailed in the book, GCAAR, Real Estate, and the Inevitability of Change.
