Marilyn Emery, with RLAH Real Estate, has been a REALTOR® for about 18 years, licensed in Maryland and D.C. She started as an investor with her husband: Buying distressed properties, fixing them up and either selling or holding for long-term rentals. As her children got older, she transitioned to working with clients, both investors and homeowners. She is a certified Senior Real Estate Specialist, Probate Specialist and in At Home with Diversity.
She was on the GCAAR Grievance Committee for three years. At RLAH, she currently heads a team including six other agents. Most recently, she was recognized by Real Living and Homeservices of America as the leader of one of the top 50 teams nationwide. She has been quoted in The Washington Post about local real estate trends and issues that affect home values.
When not doing real estate, Marilyn volunteers with her church and is on the board for the village of Kensington. She has been active in her neighborhood association and at her children’s schools and sports teams throughout the years. She enjoys being outside in her garden, working with her bees, walking in the woods with her dog and doing photography.
