Ask about customized transportation benefits plans, discounted Metrocheks; Maryland Commuter Choice Tax Credit; and Fare Share and Super Fare Share, in which Montgomery County matches employer contributions to encourage employees to use transit and other commute options to solo driving.
Companies participating in Fare Share can obtain up to $20,000 per year in amounts of up to $32.50 per month per employee. Employers in the Transportation Management Districts of Silver Spring, Friendship Heights, Bethesda, and North Bethesda could be eligible to receive up to $100,000 for five years through Super Fare Share.
County Executive Doug Duncan applauds GCAAR and the business community for spreading the word about many commuting options to save on taxes, transit fares and time in gridlock.
