The Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR) has recognized Jamie Finch of Long & Foster as the 2005 Rookie of the Year. The Rookie of the Year is presented to a GCAAR member who has been licensed for four years or less and has shown outstanding dedication to the real estate industry and the local community.
Jamie has been active in local and state REALTOR® associations since the beginning of his real estate career only two years ago. He presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington DC Association of REALTORS® and is also a member of GCAAR's Grievance Committee and the Vice Chairman of the Rookie Society.
He completed his GRI in spring 2005, participated in GCAAR's Leadership Institute in the fall of 2005, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Real Estate and Construction Management. He has also taken classes in historic preservation from the DC Historical Society and holds a M.A. in Government from The Johns Hopkins University.
Jamie is a member of numerous civic clubs and currently volunteers for the Kiwanis Clinic at Sibley Hospital, the Sharpe Health School and Food and Friends. He is also an active member of his church.
